Unfortunately, we no longer have our much used and loved mini-bus but are constantly fund-raising to enable us to purchase a new one.

The mini-bus was adapted with a lift to the rear which meant it was wheel-chair accessible.

Leeds Black Elders Association mini-bus had various uses which included:

  • Day trips for the elders
  • Taking elders to hospital and GP appointments
  • Youth groups
  • Church groups
  • Community groups
  • Sports groups
We also ran an appointment / flu-jab pick-up.  This was organised in conjunction with the service-user's GP and meant that all necessary appointments could be attended.  This ensured that the service-user received the medical attention needed to maintain good health.

Assessments & Referrals

Once contact is made with the Leeds Black Elders Association an initial assessment will be carried out on the service user, this will determine the individual's needs.
