Frederick Hurdle Day Centre

Frederick Hurdle Day Centre is a multi-cultural centre which caters for physical and social needs of elders by offering provision which is appropriate to their individual needs.

It's Aims

  • To establish a multi-cultural environment, equality of opportunity and provision of care, this is appropriate to individual needs and will work towards equal opportunity for all.
  • To encourage and motivate users to develop their full potential.
  • To provide social, recreational and intellectual activities.
  • To accommodate religious and dietary needs within the centre.
  • The centre is to be used as a model of good practice; one in which the needs of ethnic minority older people are understood and provision appropriate to those needs offered.
  • The work of the centre has influenced mainstream services so that appropriate provision can be made available in the anticipation of growth in the ethnic minority older people population.
