The club will provide a range of social and recreational activities for members who experience memory loss and their carers. The sessions will cater to their social needs. External experts/speakers are invited to inform members on different aspects of Dementia / Stoke, self help guide and provide appropriate information about health and social care provisions within the community and how to access them.

The beneficiaries are mainly but not exclusively of African Caribbean decent who use or in need of services provided by LBEA.

Advantages to the beneficiaries will be:

  • Provide mental and physical stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities.
  • Help to inform carers and sufferers about different aspects of dementia, how to help oneself and information on services that are available.
  • It will also help members to get involved in community activities and to have a healthier and rewarding life.
