Befriending schemeThe Befriending Project has been running successful for a number of years now. The aim of the scheme is to eradicate the possibility of isolation for the Service Users. The Befriender could be placed in the following: - Hospitals
- Care/Nursing homes
- Clients home
- Day Centres
 The Befriender will carry out varying duties:- Reading
- Indulge in social conversation
- Light shopping
RESPITE CAREProviding a well deserved break for the carer for several hours. Above duties may be carried out.
In conjunction with Leeds City Council - Family Placement,
Leeds Black Elders provides a service of caring for individuals within their own homes or alternatively the carer takes the individual into their home and is paid a sum for this service.
